Training
Introduction to Umpiring
The East Surrey Cricket Scorers and Umpires Association offers the above course to local clubs at a cost of £50. The course lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is run over a single evening. It is aimed at those who might umpire occasionally, for example as parents at a colts match or as a player-umpire during a match. It covers the essential Laws that anyone will need to get started in umpiring and will give participants sufficient information to take the field and umpire with enhanced confidence.
