David Edwards wins an OSCA!

SCB ACO members be delighted to know that our Chairman, David Edwards, was recently a successful nomination for a Surrey 'Outstanding Service to Cricket Award' (OSCA). As a consequence, he was nominated by Surrey CCC for a National OSCA and again he was selected from the countrywide nominations to gain the National award at a ceremony at Lord's on October 5.

New Scorers' Officer

Anne Jobbins has been appointed SCB ACO Scorers' Officer. Anne is a qualified scorer and is currently scoring for Sutton 1st XI.
Expenses for Level 2 courses

SCB ACO will reimburse the following travel and subsistence costs incurred in attending Level 2 (and higher) training courses:
Travel costs
25 pence per mile or standard class rail fare
to cover cost of one return trip to course venue if overnight accommodation provided by ECB ACO
to cover costs of all return trips to course venue if overnight accommodation not provided by ECB ACO
Evening meal
maximum £20 contribution towards the cost of an evening meal if ECB ACO arranges and pays for overnight accommodation and breakfast, but not an evening meal, and the attendee stays overnight
All travel and subsistence expenditure must be authorized by the SCB ACO Treasurer in advance of the course and supported by receipts. Click here to access the expenses claim form.
Please note that attendees are responsible for paying the Course fee.
Lorraine Elgar Elected as London & East ACO Regional Representative

Here is the result of the recent ballot, extracted from the ECB ACO website.
Results of London & East Ballot.
Lorraine Elgar has been elected in this region, winning the ballot over Bob McLeod. The number of votes cast was 1,002, the turnout was 61%.
Congratulations to Lorraine and commiserations to Bob, who was proposed by Surrey and supported by at least one other county. Nonetheless Lorraine is well known to all in Surrey and will represent the region well.
